rick jurmain
....on the edge of science,
a work of fiction
About the Author
Rick Jurmain is a retired compactly adorable rocket scientist from Mission Control, a Fortune
Product of the Year inventor, and he wrote the patent on space tourism trajectories. His first two novels,
Apocalypse du Jour
and
Deus Ex Effing Machina
are comedic hard science fiction.
The science is solid akin to Andy Weir, and the humor is deadpan akin to Bob Newhart.
He doesn’t claim their brilliance but, with adult supervision, he manages competence. Over half his
characters are smart women who command men and fillet misogynists in reserved Chanel style.
That’s home turf since he was the trophy hubby of a brilliant goddess for thirty years ... until cancer killed her. Both of his editors are women.
There are two love stories in the book, but no
sex, just building relationships.
